This month at Signal we’re turning a plant into a synthesizer… and cutlery into a sampler… and making musical watercolour paintings?! Using Makey Makeys, the award-winning tech toy that let’s you hack “a bacon sandwich, a pencil, or your cat”, participants will learn about electrical conductivity to turn just about anything into a MIDI controller. Choose from a wide range of “instruments” (flowers, fruit, power tools) to compose a certified banger in one afternoon that’s both electronic and very, very organic.
Guiding us will be Melbourne electronic artist Allison Walker, video game sound designer and composer, and house anthem live coder.
For folks aged 13-25. Bookings essential!
