About the facilitators

Kuya Neil (he/him) is a heavyweight of Melbourne’s underground hip-hop scene. His fluidity as a producer is evident in his diverse collaborations and projects - soundtracking the left-field representations of rap, contemporary club music and visual art in Australia. Outside of his music practice, Neil has been involved in grassroots community education since 2018, coordinating and running free electronic music programs with Melbourne Sound School.

Marty Ydema (they/them) is an educator, community organiser, composer and producer, passionate about breaking down the social and material barriers for people to learn to use creative technologies. As MxMars, they make atmospheric songs that blend devotional and meditative elements into something that is positioned in and around ambient, experimental pop and futurist folk.

Ptwiggs (she/her) Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Ptwiggs otherwise known as Phoebe Twigg is a producer and qualified audio engineer. Morphing audio into pulsing waves of emotion, Ptwiggs delivers a sound that is delicately detailed yet powerfully destructive, swinging between constant poles of tranquillity and turmoil. Weaving an organically forming tapestry between the external and internal world, Ptwiggs smothers the senses leaving drippings of various genres, references and styles. Ptwiggs has performed and curated sounds for genre bending events such as Dark Mofo, Unsound Adelaide and Apotheosis at The Sydney Opera House. She's also responsible for Sydney based free sharing experimental label and club night Eternal.

Aarti Jadu (they/them) Known for creating a hybrid of cinematic compositions and bass music laced with disparate vocal arrangements, Aarti performs in a variety of ensembles, as well as solo and collaboratively. A multi-disciplinary, self driven professional, they are an embodied sound facilitator and the director of experimental art initiative tincture. Their work is formed from a culmination of self enquiry, existentialism, experimentation and research.
