earn the coding languages of Atom and Supercollider to generate beat driven music.
Artist: Allison Walker
Allison Walker introduces us to the world of the algorave, using code to generate beat driven music. Using the coding languages of Atom and Supercollider, you will learn how to use algorithms to create melody and beats, and to manipulate them. The workshop will give you the tools to take live coding to the rave outside the computer lab, navigate various programs, and apply production principles to this new field of music-making.
You don’t need any prior experience or knowledge of coding, programming, or music to participate. Everyone is welcome. We especially encourage all women and trans people, people of colour, and people with disabilities to join us for this workshop.
