About the facilitators:
Kuya Neil (he/him) is a heavyweight of Melbourne’s underground hip-hop scene. His fluidity as a producer is evident in his diverse collaborations and projects – soundtracking the left-field representations of rap, contemporary club music and visual art in Australia. Outside of his music practice, Neil has been involved in grassroots community education since 2018, coordinating and running free electronic music programs with Melbourne Sound School.
Marty Ydema (they/them) is an educator, community organiser, composer and producer, passionate about breaking down the social and material barriers for people to learn to use creative technologies. As MxMars they make atmospheric songs that blend devotional and meditative elements into something that is positioned in and around ambient, experimental pop and futurist folk.
